By car (detailed description) From Berlin, take
the A12 motorway towards Frankfurt (Oder). Leave the motorway at the junction
“Frankfurt (O.) Mitte”. Turn left at the traffic lights and right just before the next set of traffic lights. Follow the road for 3 km (direction “Zentrum” (town center)), pass an Esso petrol station and a fire station on
the right and passing under two bridges. Turn right into Heilbronner Str. and
right again at the second set of traffic lights into Lindenstr. The entrance to
the VSM Office is at Lindenstr. 3, to the right of the entrance to the Post
Office (yellow signs).   By car (directions in brief)

  • Take A12 motorway to Frankfurt (Oder) Mitte
  • Turn left at the traffic lights
  • Turn right at the traffic lights
  • Straight ahead for 3 km
  • Turn right into Heilbronner Str.
  • Turn right at the second set of traffic lights
  • VSM entrance à door to the right of Post Office (yellow signs)

By train Take the Regionalexpress mainline train
service RE 1 to Frankfurt (Oder). You can catch the train at any of the
following stations in Berlin: Wannsee, Charlottenburg, Zoologischer Garten,
Hauptbahnhof, Friedrichstr., Alexanderplatz and Ostbahnhof, as well as in
Erkner and Fürstenwalde. The VSM Office is a 10-minute walk from Frankfurt (Oder) station (bear right
and walk down Ferdinandstr.(downhill), turn left into Gubener Str. at the end
of the road and carry on to Lindenstr.). Alternatively, you can take the no. 3
tram, direction “Europa-Universität”, to “Oderturm” stop (2 stops) from where
there is a 2-minute walk to the office; or take a taxi (a 2-minute journey,
costing around 4 €). The entrance to the VSM Office is to the right of the entrance to the
Post Office (yellow signs). By air

  1. Berlin-Tegel

From Tegel Airport, take the TXL bus service (direction Alexanderplatz)
and alight at the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, follow the
directions given under “By train”.

  1. Berlin-Schönefeld

There are two possibilities of travelling to Frankfurt (Oder) from Schönefeld Airport:

  • Take the Regionalbahn mainline train service RB 14 (direction Nauen) to
    Karlshorst station, then S-Bahn (overground
    railway) line S3 (direction Erkner) to Erkner station. From there, take
    the Regionalexpress mainline train service RE 1 to Frankfurt (Oder).
    Journey time: 2 hours 10 minutes.
  • Take S-Bahn (overground railway) line S9 (direction Pankow) to Ostkreuz
    station, then S-Bahn line S3 (direction Erkner) to Erkner station. From
    Erkner, take the Regionalexpress mainline train service RE1 (direction
    Frankfurt (Oder)/Eisenhüttenstadt) to Frankfurt (Oder). Journey time: 1
    hour 50 minutes.
